EPAL pallets – Global movement of goods constantly provides new requirements to logistics. Given the rapidly increasing volume of cargo flows and their automated processing, pallets must meet extremely high quality standards. This requires a more stringent control. To ensure it, in 1991 European rail initiative in conjunction with other bodies of transport industry – association EPA was established, later named EPAL (European Pallet Association). The European Pallet Association guaranteeing the same standard of quality in all countries of the world with independent EURO standards conforming to pallet manufacturing, repair and quality control departments. All EPAL pallets are marked with burned oval EPAL sign.
